Halls of Extinction
08:41
|
|||
The smell of carnage envelops all in sight
as the ash from our bodies sets fire to the sky
Civilizations covered in filth;
Unable to move, see hear or breathe
The machines move inexorably forward
spewing poison from their mouths
fracturing the ground upon which we stand
Pumping venom into her heart
the heavens grow silent as we enter the halls
Halls of Extinction grow ever fuller still
nothing left for maggots to have their fill
Halls of Extinction, though hidden will ever rise
until every last oil soaked creature dies
Mother now devoid of all her splendor,
how do humans sleep at night?
How are we not overcome with anguish
simply because death hides in shadows?
Ambivalence is not redemption,
apathy will see us all destroyed
But when I see what we have done
all I long for is my death
The smell of carnage envelops all in sight
as the ash from our bodies sets fire to the sky
Civilizations covered in filth;
Unable to move, see hear or breathe
The machines move inexorably forward
spewing poison from their mouths
fracturing the ground upon which we stand
Extinction by cowards who bathe in gold
Destruction of all we love and hold
Halls of extinction grow fuller still
nothing left for maggots to have their fill
Halls of extinction filling with earthen souls,
as the takers march on, killing by burning coals

Black Night, White Sky
11:32
|
|
||
Alone in this world, my spirit will die
I seek solace among the pines
Their richness of life will nurse my wounds
without their guidance, we sleep in tombs
I follow a path not meant for me
But I choose death
Over shallowness for eternity
Though my blood in these rivers runs deep
The bones of my ancestors lie across the sea
I curse the name of my father’s house
As his kin bring wrath to the land I breathe
Their thieving hearts have spoiled the roots
That I have grown into these mountains
That pierce my heart with the sky
The clouds light the brush
Beneath my weary feet
I trudge forever forward
In the darkness and sleet
This is all I’ll ever know, my home
The black night, white sky
Mother night, father sky,
Winter, who brings the end of light
I give you my soul to bury in your marrow
In the black of night, the snowing white sky
I endure the endless night
The long dark tortures my soul
The icy surface numbs me
And comforts, it is all I know
The terror of the darkened wood
Left for dead, at night alone
The snow falls, and I live forever
In the black night, white sky

Terrible Purpose
10:21
|
|||
Terrible purpose, terrible lies
Terrible songs we sing to keep up alive
Terrible purpose, terrible lives
Terrible stories we tell to help us survive
Fabrications of sinister means
Justify our lives and archaic beliefs
Trapped into lies we cannot see
With this story we’ll never be free
Mythos of carnage and harvest corrupt
Wings of illusion of massive breadth
Willing prisoners, we leap to our death
Spawn of our seeds will soon erupt

Manufactured Essence
09:03
|
|||
Blood is wrought from the trunk of the tree of life
as the centuries give way to a straightening
of the knots that breathed consciousness into the now
Now is day of silicia replacing our cilia
as polyeurothane sacs pray to an unlistening deity
of regret, sorrow and a never-ending eclipse bathed
in spectral shadow
l
SHATTERED WHAT IS REAL//FARCICAL UNREST
TAKE MY BONES FROM ME// STEEL INTO MY CHEST
SYNTHETIC ACT OF NATURE// STATUS OBSESSED
BUILDINGS OVER TREES//MANUFACTURED ESSENCE
Lost in the swarm//the deadly embrace//of loneliness
Your ember is out//your fuel has run dry//we’re empty inside
The ground disappeared//mother’s end is near//and you’ll let her die
For a personal glory//for your own story//for greed and for shame
Green gives to brown//lightness to dark//but your dead eyes remain
To take and to kill//to passiviley mill//and define inhumane
Turn stone into death//your soul of aboleth//mounting your despair campaign
Rivers to blood//teeth in the mud//chemical rain
